In a world of over-sharing across a media maze, I’ll use this excuse to keep things brief!
I am a passionate naturalist. It is this passion combined with over 28 years of wilderness experience that allows me to lead life-changing safaris to many corners of our planet.
Born and bred at the foot of Africa, I’ve lived and worked in some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife-rich regions from Zululand to the Serengeti. The privilege of raising my family in some of these wild places and rediscovering the natural world through their eyes stands out. Aside from guiding, time has been spent managing safari lodges and wildlife concessions and engaging with rural communities.
Formally educated, my further growth has been through authentic, natural learning from the wilderness itself and other passionate and knowledgeable people. For most of my professional safari life I have been involved in the development of other safari guides in Africa and further afield in Brazil, Peru and India. The challenge and the fun of working with such a diverse and amazing set of people is a strong driver.
